For anyone who has visited Sonoma’s wine country, they will know that Highway 12 is considered California’s “wine highway” spanning from Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley to the West, then rolling East through Sonoma Valley, Carneros, Napa Valley, California’s Delta Region, and ending just past Lodi at the San Andreas fault. Paul and Michael have dedicated themselves as stewards of the rich tradition and quality of these growing regions along Highway 12 by producing high quality, value driven wines that can be enjoyed by all wine consumers.
The wines below reflect the different characteristics of the span of California’s Wine Highway
As Highwayman Wines, we aim to pay it back with this special, scarce, micro-lot wine we named Stand and Deliver – a promise to stand behind our product and deliver to the customer the pinnacle of our vineyards and winemaking; we stand and deliver to you our very best.

Our vineyard partners for this wine are local Sonoma boys Ned Hill and Matt Stornetta of La Prenda Vineyards. Hailing from from the cool Delta-Clarksburg region, also with a touch Sonoma Carneros, we opted for the minimalist approach – cool fermentation, light oak integration, lower alcohol. The fruit and floral notes are balanced by light acidity and a rich toasty vanilla oak warmth to round out the finish.

Barrel fermentation and sur lie aging creates a lusher profile with only hints of oak that contribute touches of toasty, honey-like notes. Malo-lactic fermentation was induced to achieve a round, creamy mid palate but the wine’s focus is on the indigenous fruit characteristics for which Carneros is known.
