If there’s a motivating factor behind the quality of our wines, it’s the name. Assuming the name of California’s premier wine road as our winery name was not without discussion and sincere commitment. There are many wineries and vineyards along this historic route and our commitment to excellence had to be, not only to history, but to our neighbors who share this famed corridor. The wines here listed represent years of winemaking experience and devotion to a lifelong craft. We offer them proudly as the wines of Highway 12.
The first of the awesome 2013 harvest is showing magnificently, with its clean, mango-scented nose, bright and fruity (yet refined) mid-palate with a slightly tangy lingering finish. Crisp, light and refreshing. 100% Single Vineyard Source - MacLeod Family Vineyard in Kenwood, CA.
This is our second vintage of what has turned out to be a fan favorite. The deep salmon hue and floral persimmon nose excite the senses. The palate is clean and dry—this Provencal beauty is the perfect summer wind-down sipper or winter evening dinner wine. Fantastic for sushi night too!
This is undeniably the classic bold Sonoma cab you've been searching for. With the intense hit of blackfruit right up front and the stabilizing tannins coating the mid-palate...you don't want this to end. But it does. It ends with a lingering finish of soft earth and sweet cocoa. Enjoy with a good steak and some good friends! Hold up to 5 years.
This new release of our wildly popular Sonoma Red Blend is the ultimate BBQ wine. Medium to full bodied featuring notes of black cherry, fig, cassis and cedar. A round mid palate and soft tannins lead to a gentle finish suitable for many culinary styles. Our pick...smoked baby back ribs and sweet slaw!
Tropical notes, bright acidity, caramelized pineapple, honey, vanilla, soft oak nuances, 100% barrel fermented and 100% malo-lactic fermentation yield a wine that will develop with rich lushness over the coming year.
This spectacular Pinot boasts hints of strawberry and hibiscus on the nose with the right amount of sandalwood. Interlaced with bright fruit, it’s perfectly complemented by the subtle oak. Slight tannins show around mid-palate, making this one beautifully balanced wine, perfect for sipping or paired with roasted lamb and mushroom risotto.
